HowTo : Set Service to Auto-Start on Boot in Linux

It is quite a common task when you want to enable some service to start at boot time.

Set service to auto-start on boot in Linux Mint, Ubuntu, Debian :
# update-rc.d servicename defaults

Configure a Service to Run at Startup -- CentOS, RedHat

Enable a service during start up in CentOS, RedHat :
# chkconfig servicename on
